Hi all!
I finally managed to fly out of Cleveland...flew into
beautiful Memphis Tennessee (where people have
delightful accents!), and then on to Montgomery
Alabama. Drove to the Red Cross station with 4 other
guys - from Minnestoa, South Dakota and Upper
Michigan.
The Red Cross "home base" in Montgomery is set up in
an old K-mart store....it was pretty efficient. I got
checked in and processed ("in-processed" in ARC
language) fairly quickly and even fed! Because I
arrived later in the day (4:30 pm-ish), they are
assigning me a hotel room, and then tommorrow is
orientation!
It's been an amazing day, and the adventure is just
beginning! Stay tuned.
